Our Maths Week

Maths Week Ireland took place between the 13th and 21st of October 2018. Students and teachers in St. Fiachra’s were very busy during the week engaging with lots of extra Maths activities. Each day during the week, a problem of the day was announced over the intercom for students in First and Second Class. There were boxes set up in the school hall where classes were encouraged to make a guess about how many items were in each box.
Students went on Maths trails around the school where they used their ‘Maths Eyes’ to identify maths in our school environment. Students also created pieces of Art using Maths themes. Well done to everyone involved!
