Welcome

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),

It is with great pride and deep gratitude that I write to you as the newly appointed Principal of St. Fiachra's Junior School and welcome you back to a new school year. We are excited to welcome new families into our school and to continue learning and growing as an inclusive community.

Having served as Deputy Principal here for the past eight years, I feel incredibly privileged to now lead a school community that I know so well and care so deeply about. St. Fiachra’s JS is a place where children are welcomed, supported, and celebrated every day, and I am committed to continuing the strong, child-centred ethos that makes our school so special. I am excited to continue to work closely with our talented staff, supportive Board of Management and our wonderful Parent’s Association to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to thrive.

I am delighted to introduce Ms. Fred Henry as our new Deputy Principal. Ms. Henry brings a wealth of teaching experience, energy, and dedication to the role and shares our commitment to providing the highest standards of care and education for all children. I look forward to working closely with her as we lead our school into this new chapter together.

This year marks a very special milestone in our school’s journey. We have proudly opened our two new classes for children with autism. This development is rooted in our belief that every child belongs and deserves to flourish in an environment where they are understood, valued, and celebrated.

As Principal, I remain focused on creating a joyful, safe, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I will continue to prioritise strong relationships, between school and home, between staff and pupils, and within the wider community. I truly believe that when we work together, we create the best outcomes for our children. My door is always open, and I warmly welcome your thoughts, your feedback, and your partnership.

Thank you for your continued support, and for entrusting us with the care and education of your children. I look forward to the year ahead with hope, ambition, and a genuine sense of joy.

Le gach dea-ghuí,

Pauline Keane
Principal
