Active Week 2020

This years ‘Active School Week’ has gone virtual! Remember, it’s recommended that we do 60 mins of physical activity each day. The suggested timetable is below and class teachers will upload each of the activities to Seesaw. You might decide to create your own activities – try to get your whole family involved. We hope you have lots of active fun!

It is with much sadness that we let you know that Mrs Maireád McCorry, a teacher in our school died on Saturday  14th March, when she did not wake up from her sleep.

We have no words to make sense of this news and we are aware that this news is not easy understanding for either children or parents at any time, let alone in the current situation we are experiencing in our country. A lot of children and parents will know Mairéad from ‘Tir na nÓg’ Summer camp. We are sure we are united together in our prayers for Mairéad’s family.

You may find the following website helpful in explaining this sad news to your child

www.childhoodbereavement.ie

A memorial mass will be held at a later date to celebrate Mairéad’s life and there is a book of condolances set up in Church of the Nativity of our Lord, Beaumont for anyone who wishes to sign it.

Please click here to see further details of her funeral arrangements.

Rest in peace Mairéad.
